It’s the Victoria Fringe’s 25th anniversary! Over the last 25 years the festival has grown to become Vancouver Island’s biggest theatre event. From August 25 to September 4, 2011, 72 international, independent performing companies will descend on the City of Gardens for ten days and nights of comedy, drama, dance, spoken word, and physical theatre – over 400 performances in fourteen venues. Fringe-going is easy, fun and slightly addictive. Meet friends, artists and strangers in lineups, buy cheap tickets and see live shows, grab a bit or beer in between and figure out what you’ll see next. It’s the best part of the summer.
The first ever Festival FRINGE de Saguenay (en Français) runs from September 1-4, 2011. 7 venues, more than 30 artists, and 100 shows in 4 days! The Saguenay FRINGE Festival is a 2011 novelty that will be presented in the Chicoutimi borough.
The Atlantic Fringe Festival celebrates its 21st edition Sept 1 – 11, 2011 with 28 new theatre and dance shows from Atlantic Canada, Ontario, the U.S., and abroad. We offer over 150 performances in 7 venues: musicals, dramas, comedies, dances, performance, belly dancers.
